My name is Damian Morgan. I am a counsellor and psychotherapist based in Glenbeigh, County Kerry. I graduated with both a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a BSc Hons Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Cork Counselling Services Training Institute (CCSTI), validated by Coventry University. I hold a certificate in Couples Counselling Training from the Institute of Couples Therapy. I also hold a Certificate in Coaching Skills through ACSTH International Coach Federation. I am a member of the training team at Cork Counselling Services Training Institute and I hold pre-accredited membership of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I use the Humanistic Integrative Approach in my work which emphasises the importance of the client therapist relationship in order for growth and healing to occur. This is a non-directive approach with the client leading where the therapy goes and the counsellor supporting them on their journey.
I work with presentations such as anxiety, stress, grief, depression, lack of purpose, low self-esteem, bullying and trauma. I also work with couples experiencing difficulties in their relationship.
